Model of isostructural dynamical phase transition in anharmonic crystal with possible relevance to SrTi3

We discuss a new type of phase transitions that correspond to a pairing of phonons of different lattice modes due to their anharmonic attraction in a crystal. We show that the main features of the isostructural phase transition observed in SrTiOs at Τ ~ 37 К can be qualitatively explained with the phonon pairing phenomenon.
