Effect of hydrostatic compression on oxygen vibrations in orthorhombic YBa2Cu3O7-delta single crystals
The Raman spectra of YBa2Cu307 _ δ (5—0.1) have been measured in the zz polarization during hydrostatic compression over the range 0-65 kbar. The results show that the Ag valence vibrations of the 04 oxygen correspond to a frequency of 498 cm- \ while the^g deformation vibrations of02-03 correspond to a frequency of435 cm -1. The Griineisen parameters of these vibrations have been determined.
