Manifestation of ferroelectricity in a lyotropic liquid crystal with a chiral impurity: a structural analog of a biological membrane
A ferroelectric eifect has been observed in a nonaqueous lyotropic liquid crystal doped with a chiral impurity by a method involving an acoustically induced deformation.
