Metal-semiconductor phase transition with a giant hysteresis in the organic metal (ET)2IBr2

Forward and inverse β ±* a structural phase transitions in the organic complex (ET) 2IBr2 have been detected. These transitions have a giant hysteresis, allowing the superconducting β phase or the semiconducting a phase to be retained under normal conditions.
