Convolution of acoustic-phonon branches in GaAs/InAs superlattices
A study of Raman scattering in Ga As/In As superlattices, in which the ratio of the thicknesses of the GaAs and In As layers is large, has made it possible to observe, for the first time, a convolution of the branches of acoustic phonons over a large part of the acoustic range. The dispersion for acoustic phonons in GaAs has been determined experimentally.
