Resonating-valence-bond state with charge degrees of freedom in Sm3Se4
The unusual properties of the intermediate-valence semiconductor Sm3Se4 (the absence of a charge ordering and the giant linear term in the specific heat) are explained on the basis of a model of a pseudospin quantum fluid.
