Acoustic studies of YBa2Cu3Ox single crystals
The temperature dependence of the elastic modulus and that of the absorption of low-frequency sound ( ~ 104 Hz) have been studied in YBa2Cu3Ox single crystals over the temperature range 3-250 K. An abrupt change (ΔΛ /к~10~4) has been observed in the elastic modulus at the superconducting transition temperature Tc. A maximum in the absorption of sound has been observed at Γ— 120 K.
