Cluster nucleation during first-order phase transitions in liquid solutions
A time ordering has been observed in the process by which a cw laser beam initiates the boiling of binary liquid solutions. The effect is interpreted on the basis of a new cluster mechanism for the nucleation of a new phase in a superheated associ ated liquid.
