Anisotropy of nonlinear refraction of II-VI semiconductors near fundamental absorption edge
The anisotropy of the nonlinear refractive index of Cd^Se! _ x crystals has been measured near the fundamental absorption edge. A comparison of the measured spectra with the spectrum calculated for a quasicubic model makes it possible to link this nonlinearity at room temperature with interband transitions of electron-hole pairs.
