Nonlinear magnetoelastic waves in thin iron borate platelets
A slow nonlinear magnetoelastic wave has been observed experimentally in iron borate. This wave can be visualized by a magnetooptic technique. It has a transverse corrugation structure whose period depends on the magnetic field.
