Frequency dependence of the density of vibrational states in glasses: Lognormal distribution
It is shown (for the first time) that the low-energy part of the frequency dependence of the density of vibrational states of the simplest glassy systems satisfies a lognormal distribution. The standard deviation is σ = 1Д/2, the same for all the glasses studied.
