Splitting of low-temperature magnetic transition in Dy2BaCuO5
The optical spectra of the "green phase" of Dy2BaCu05 and of the dilute compound Dy0 02 Yj 98 BaCu05 have been studied. The low-temperature magnetic transition in Dy2BaCu05 was found to split into two first-order phase transitions: at TN2 = Π-26 К the rare-earth subsystem becomes ordered; the transition that follows at TR =11.08 К evidently corresponds to a spin reversal. The copper subsystem becomes ordered at TN] = 20 + 0.5 К in Dy2BaCu05 and for TN = 14.5KinDy0.o2Yi.98BaCu05.
