Reversal of the sign of thermoelectric power in n-Cd0.2Hg0.8Te in a quantizing magnetic field

The reversal of the sign of magnetic thermoelectric power in Cd0 2 Hg0 8 Те in longitudinal and transverse (relative to the temperature gradient) magnetic fields — 5-15 kOe at temperatures of 10-30 К has been observed for the first time. The sign reversal is attributed to the logarithmic increase of the magnetic thermoelectric power with the magnetic field under conditions of the ultraquantum limit.
