γ-ray spectrometry study of the heating of ultracold neutrons as they interact with a surface

A direct experiment was carried out to determine the reasons for the anomalous heating of ultracold neutrons as they interact with the surface of a material. The hypothesis that hydrogen is the main cause of this heating has been confirmed by a y-ray spectrometry method.
