Shock compressibility and equation of state of a polyimide

The compressibility of polyimide foam plastics of four initial densities has been studied experimentally in shock waves at pressures up to ~700 kbar. The data are used to construct a semiempirical equation of state for the polyimide for a wide region of high-energy states.
