Model of isotropic d-wave pairing in UPt3
A phenomenological model is proposed for describing the H-T-P phase diagram of the heavy-fermion superconductor UPt3. In this model, the UPt3 is a nearly isotropic J-wave superconductor whose transition temperature is split slightly by the crystal field. This model agrees with all known experimental data on the phase diagram of UPt3. The parameter values used are close to those predicted by weak-coupling theory. Physical reasons for such isotropy of superconducting properties are discussed.
