The high-temperature NMR spectrum of Jahn-Teller ions with a highly anisotropic interaction has been studied experimentally. A dynamic contraction of the NMR spectrum of Μη3 + ions has been observed in a lithium ferrite. The contraction stems from relaxation processes in the orbital subsystem. As the temperature is raised, the populations of the Jahn-Teller states, which reduce the quadrupole splitting of individual lines and which contract the overall absorption band, become equal.
