Spin-oriented excitons in uniaxially strained germanium in a strong magnetic field
Luminescence spectra have been measured in an effort to learn about the behavior of indirect excitons in ultrapure Ge crystals strained uniaxially and uniformly along a direction near (100) in magnetic fields up to 14 T. The shift and intensification in a magnetic field of the LA line of indirect recombination of excitons have been studied. A new emission line is observed on the low-energy side of the free-exciton line.© 7995 American Institute of Physics.
