Edge barrier manifestation in the nonlinear microwave response of thin YBaCuO films
The initial cubic-law regime Η α Η3ω in the amplitude dependence of the third harmonic Ηω) was found to change when the microwave field Ηω perpendicular to the surface of the YBaCuO film reached the value Я*. The observed dependences H* α R\I2{TC-T) on the film radius /?,· and on the temperature Τ close to the critical temperature Tc and comparison of H* with the computed value of the field, in which the current density at the film edge reaches the critical value, make it possible to identify H* as the field that suppresses the edge surface barrier. © 1995 American Institute of Physics.
