Observation of a long-lived nuclear quasimolecule in the 20Ne+Ge system
Bombardment of a Ge single crystal by 102-MeV 20Ne ions reveals a nearly complete disappearance of the blocking minima for values θ = 58-52° of the emission angle of the heavy products of the inelastic interaction. The corresponding reaction time is approximately 10~17 s.
