Indication of an energy gap in the current-voltage characteristics of superconducting films
Under certain conditions the current-voltage characteristics (IVC) of broad superconducting films have sharp features that coincide with the energy gap 2Δ (Τ). This effect is linked with the mechanism for breaking of Cooper pairs on the phase-slip line (PSL).
