Structural phase transition in a surface layer of cesium deuterosulfate single crystals

At 122 °C, a structural phase transition occurs in CsDS04 single crystals with a {100} surface orientation. This transition occurs in a layer 10-20 nm thick. The average size of the regions of coherent scattering is 20 μτη. The angular disorientation of these regions is 7".
