Structural features in the ac conductivity and the static dielectric constant of La2CuO4+δ at the metamagnetic transition

It has been found that the metamagnetic transition in La2Cu04, which produces a jump in the ac conductivity σ=σ0 + σ(ω), has quite different effects on the components σ0 and σ(ω). The behavior of the static dielectric constant e0 upon this transition is discussed. It is suggested that the changes observed in σ0, σ(ω), and e0 may be due to a change in the localization length of impurities.
