Multiwave modulated states in TMA-ZnCl4 crystals
It has been shown by an x-ray method that a uniaxial stress in TMA-ZnCl4 crystals induces structural states in which several modulation waves coexist along the same crystallographic direction. Depending on the temperature and the loading conditions, there may be either a superposition of several modulation waves throughout the volume or a domain-like structure in the sample.
