Observation of a quantum-beat resonance between magnetic sublevels with Δ M=4

A nonlinear quantum-beat resonance between Zeeman sublevels differing by AM = 4 has been observed experimentally. The measurements were taken in the v' = I, J" = 72vibrational-rotationalleveloftheXI^'g+ electronic ground state of the K2 molecule. The Lande factor of the level has been determined.
