Description of the anomalous features in nonequilibrium processes on solid surfaces near a second-order magnetic phase transition
A description based on the fluctuational theory of phase transitions and a random-walk model is proposed for the anomalous features in activated surface processes near a volume magnetic phase transition. Experimental results on the change in the rate of the initial oxidation of iron near the Curie point Tc are explained for the first time.
