Magnetic phase transitions in samarium iron garnet and hypothesis of Ising ordering
The low-temperature magnetic orientational phase transition in Sm3Fe5Oi2 has been studied experimentally. In the ground state (as T—>0 K) this ferrimagnetic has a magnetic structure of the <wuO> type. This result and also the <ttt?0>^<110>^±<lll> phase transitions, which are observed with increasing temperature in Sm3Fe5012, are explained in the model of Ising ordering of the magnetic moments of Sm3+ ions.
