Limitations on the characteristics of neutrino oscillations
New results are reported on the observation of inverse beta decay of the proton. The data were obtained in an underground laboratory near the nuclear reactors of a Krasnoyarsk group of enterprises. The new results add substantially to the results available previously, because of the particular experimental conditions, which involved a stepped shutdown of two of the three reactors. The cross section for inverse beta decay of the proton has been determined: σ6Χρ1(νρ) = (6.26±0.26) X 10~43 cmVdiv. Limitations are found on characteristics of the neutrino oscillations: Amj 2 < 7.5 X 10~3 eV2 for sin220= 1 and sin220 < 0.15 for Am2U2 > 5.0X ИГ2 eV2.
