Nonlinearity of the voltage-current characteristics of thin gold films
Experiments show that the resistance R of thin gold films (d~5Xl0~7 cm) depends on the temperature Τ (0.4-20 К) and on the voltage applied to the sample (V) in a nonmonotonic way. There are regions on theR (Τ) and R (V) curves in which the resistance varies logarithmically. The scale time for the energy relaxation of electrons with phonons is determined under the assumption that the R [V] dependence results from a heating of the electron system.
