Acoustovoltaic effect in semiconductors
A new effect in semiconductors—an acoustovoltaic current associated with the ejection asymmetry of electrons from a trapping level—is described below. In a linear approximation it leads to the previously unconsidered fundamental asymmetry for sound propagation in two, mutually opposite directions, which is not associated with the presence of an external field.
