Direct measurement of thermalization rate of the ground state of K2 molecules ,

A method of direct measurement of thermalization rate of the population γ of a vibrational-rotational electronic ground state level of diatomic molecules from the kinetics of laser-excited fluorescence was proposed. The values of у for the K2 molecules in a potassium vapor and the effective cross section of thermalizing K2-K collisions were determined experimentally.
