Dependence of the energy lifetime of a plasma on the pinch ellipticity in the T-8 tokamak
The dependence of the energy lifetime of a plasma on the ellipticity of the cross section of a plasma column is measured. It is shown that τΕ~Κ2 for the same plasma density and temperature and the same current density distribution in the column. The dependences of rE on BT and Jp are compared.
