Stark effect in shallow donors in gallium phosphide
The Stark effect has been observed for the first time for hydrogen-like impurity centers in a semiconductor. Electron transitions, forbidden in the absence of an electric field, were discovered between the components of the \S state, split by a valley-orbital interaction.
