Piezoelectric effect in Cu0.5ln0.5Cr2S4 and xCuCr3S4-(1-x)Cu0.5Cr2S4 compounds with a normal spinel structure
The piezoelectric effect is observed for the first time in spinellide Cu0 5 In0 5 Cr2S4 (crystal symmetry T2d)> which is comparable in magnitude to a piezoefFect in anX-cut quartz plate with a coefficient of electromechanical coupling of 10%. The piezoeffect may also occur in a solid solution of this compound with CuCr3S4, although its magnitude diminishes rapidly with increasing χ in *CuCr3S4-(1 — x)C\1q 5In0 5Cr2S4 and at jc > 0.05 the effect cannot be observed.
