Production of charmed particles in weak interactions with diagonal neutral currents

We estimate the cross sections for the production of charmed hadrons via the neutral current in the interaction of neutrinos or antineutrinos with nucleons. The ratio of these cross sections to the total cross sections with charged currents if of the order of several per cent. Estimates are presented of the contribution of the neutral current to the production of dimuons and single "irregular" leptons.
