Search for an electric dipole moment of the neutron
A CP-breaking effect of an electric dipole moment of the neutron has been measured by a method of prolonged confinement of ultracold neutrons. The measured value, dn = — (1.4 + 0.6) X 10 ~25 exm, is interpreted as a new upper limit: \dn | <2.6xl0~25 exm at a 95% confidence level.
