Study of spin waves in amorphous magnetic materials by polarized-neutron scattering

A method for determining the spin-wave stiffness from the right-left asymmetry of the scattering of polarized neutrons is proposed. The values of the critical index of the spin-wave stiffness have been found in amorphous magnetic materials; χ = 0.36 ± 0.025 for 50Fe22Nil0Crl8P and χ = 0.31 ± 0.02 for 48Fe34Nil8P.
