Refraction effects in quasielastic heavy-ion processes

The differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of 6Li by 14C and for the charge-exchange reaction 14C(6Li,6He) J4N, accompanied by the excitation of the ground state and the 1+ (3.95-MeV) excited state, have been measured and analyzed in an effort to determine the role played by refraction of the nuclear medium. The measurements were carried out at angles up to 6c m — 130° at the energy Etu =93 MeV.
