Topological phase transitions in Bi1-xSbx alloys and composition dependence of the position of the heavy-hole band

The valence band in Bi{ _xSbx alloys (0<χ<0.15) has been studied by means of a Lifshitz phase transition. The energy position of the edge of the heavy-hole band is found as a function of the composition: Ετ = 259x — 70 meV, where the energy is measured from the middle of the gap at the L point.
