Neutron production mechanism at constrictions in plasma pinches
Electric fields are induced at the constrictions in plasma pinches because of a current redistribution over the discharge cross section. The deuteron spectrum dN/dv ~txp( υ/υ.) and the neutron yield V= 2χ 1012ž/^ Xexp( — 3.33/Ä//íá) are calculated. The results agree well with experiment.
