Configurational splitting of the giant dipole resonance of nuclei of the 2s 2d shell
The scale of the configurational splitting of the giant dipole resonance—an energy splitting of the dipole transitions of nucleons from outer and inner nuclear shells— is determined for nuclei of the Isld shell through an analysis of experimental data. This splitting is 10-12 MeV for the nuclei 23Na, 24Mg, 27A1, and 28Si.
