Superconducting properties of β-(BEDT-TTF)2I3 crystals
The temperature dependence and anisotropy of the critical magnetic field in an organic superconductor /?-(BEDT-TTF)2I3 are measured. The value of Hc2 when H\\a is approximately equal to the value ofHc2 when Η \\b and exceeds Hc2 by almost an order of magnitude when Η ||c. The state density is estimated to be #(0)^0.25 Χ1034 erg-1-cm-3. The critical temperature of the superconducting transition increases from 1.3 К to 4.5 К as a result of thermal cycling from liquid-helium temperature to room temperature. The sample goes superconducting at 7^7 K.
