Large-scale continuous theory of cholesterics
A continual theory of cholesterics is constructed using larger scales than those of the pitch of a helix. The free energy is expressed in terms of the unit vector of the normal to the cholesteric planes and the distortion vs analogous to the superfluid velocity of Не3-Л.
