Visual observation of 180-degree antiferromagnetic domains
We report the first visual observation of 180-degree antiferromagnetic domains. Observations were conducted by means of a new linear magnetooptical effect that is proportional to the first power of magnetic field strength and the projection of the antiferromagnetic vector. The object of investigation was a collinear two-sublattice antiferromagnetic CoF2.
