Nonequilibrium-phonon relaxation in metal microcontacts

A frequency dispersion has been observed in the intensity of the microcontact spectrum of the electron-phonon interaction at bias voltages e V> hvmax across the contact. The magnitude of the effect is determined by the relation between the inelastic-relaxation frequency of nonequilibrium phonons and the frequency of the high-frequency radiation incident on the contact.
