Annihilation of antiprotons stopped in hydrogen
The assumption that antiprotons stopped in hydrogen are annihilated directly from atomic states of the pp system contradicts the experimental data. The experimentally observed large contribution of the odd orbital momenta to the pp annihilation Cross section can be attributed to the fact that the annihilation comes from the quasinuclear states of the pp system.
