Resonant four-photon parametric processes in Ne in the field of a single-frequency He-Ne laser, and their use in nonlinear spectroscopy
A heterodyning method was used to register parametric radiation at the frequency ων = 2ω0 — ωμ. All the frequencies lie within the natural linewidth. The feasibility of using this process for nonlinear spectroscopy of ultrahigh resolution is demonstrated.
