Excitation mechanism in the Na+ + Ne system
We calculate the polarizations and intensities of the components of the spectral lines Na(3 p) and Ne(2p53p), and discuss the possible mechanism of their excitation in Na++Ne collisions at high energies. The effect of maximum polarization of the / = 1—»/ =0 lines is explained.
