Transition of H2O into the conducting state at static pressures p 1 Mbar
We investigated the resistivity of water at Ρ « 1 Mbar and at temperatures from -80 to 10°C. A decrease of the electric resistivity by six orders of magnitudes was observed. The observed "unfreezing" of the conducting state allows us to conclude that the discontinuity is connected with a phase transition.
