Hydrogen molecule in a strong magnetic field
A quantitative study of the hydrogen molecule in an arbitrary constant magnetic field oriented along the axis of the molecule is performed for the first time. It is found that the molecule is stable in the entire range of fields studied (up to 1012 G). It is shown that at large distances, two ground-state hydrogen atoms repel each other in the presence of a field.
